There are still a few days left in October, which is also “Breast Cancer Awareness Month”. That means you still have a good (and humanitarian) reason to treat yourself to a set of Riedel Pink “O” Glasses, a limited-edition line that was originally introduced in October 2006.

The original Riedel Pink “O” Glass was a Champagne flute sans the stem, and Riedel continued with the tradition by introducing a new pink glass every October.

Now they’ve added a Pink CrescendO, which is a Chardonnay/Viognier glass (but don’t let that stop you from using it for water or juice).

Said Maximilian Riedel, CEO of Riedel Crystal America and the creator of the “O” glass:

“We have been continually amazed and gratified by the enthusiastic response to these glasses from both retailers and consumers. People are still asking for the original Pink “O” glass 3 years later, so we decided to introduce the collection of 4. The slight variation in shades makes it easy for guests to know which glass is theirs. Riedel “O” glasses are very durable and fit in every dishwasher. They are light, well balanced and fit comfortably in the hand. I know that this program has increased my awareness of this deadly disease and the toll it takes on women and their families. It has also helped increase awareness of the work of Living Beyond Breast Cancer in empowering women to have the best quality of life after diagnosis, treatment and beyond. ”

Last year’s pink “O” glass was, fittingly, a Vinum Rose glass.

Regardless of which pink glass you choose, Riedel will donate 15% of the sale to Living Beyond Breast Cancer. All three pink glasses can be found online at the Riedel web store.
